 From Kissing Frogs to Finding her Prince
I had been on Lavalife for about a year, sent and received a lot of smiles, instant messages & emails. I'd been out on a lot of dates and kissed a lot of frogs. Just as I was about to give up, Jordan smiled at me. We went on our first date and haven't spent more than a couple of days apart since. We got engaged while vacationing in California, and are getting married on September 9th, 2009. We would have never met had it not been for Lavalife, and we are both so happy that we didn't let negative opinions about online dating deter us. This Was Something Different
Stephen and I had both tried Lavalife in the past and hadn't found much success. But one Sunday evening we both decided to just take a look. I clicked Online Users Only and his was the 2nd profile on the list. I sent him a smile and he sent me a message within a few minutes. We talked that night online and on the phone the next day. Our first date was Tuesday, June 26, 2007. We knew right away this was something different - things just felt right. After several coffee dates and looking at profiles so much that they all started to sound the same, I still hadn't found someone special. I decided I was going to pull my profile and call it a day... until I saw a pic of a gentleman with the most beautiful blue eyes, and figured I would at least send him a smile. He responded - he was on the other side of the country but we talked every night and it was really nice to get to know someone without any of the usual distractions. He finally made the trip to meet me and it was true love at first sight! It has been almost 2 years and I give thanks every day for having the most wonderful man ever in my life. I haven't had a lot of luck when it comes to love but this time it is for real. He has brought a sense of comfort and security into my life that I have never experienced. before.
